R.I.P. - Kenneth McDavid & Paul Vados

You or I might see a man sleeping in a shopping cart, but to the trained eye, it's a basket of cash.

What are two elderly ladies to do when their comfortable lifestyle becomes threatened in their old age? Well, some seniors might swallow their pride, trade in that Mercedes, sell the mansion, and step down to a more sustainable lifestyle; Buy a Kia, maybe a 1 bedroom condo.

Helen Golay, 75, and Olga Rutterschmidt, 72, however, decided that it was much less embarrassing to simply befriend two homeless men, rent them apartments, get them to sign life insurance contracts, and then run them over in dark alleys in the early morning hours.

The women were under police surveillance, but were arrested after meeting with several older men and having them sign unspecified documents.

My brother, Kenneth McDavid, was a sweet, loving brother and cousin, uncle, friend, nephew, grandson and son to people very dear. He came from hardworking people who worked hard all their lives. Kenneth, as many known people, fell on hard times. His sisters, his brothers, his mother, and his father wanted to know where he was. His nephews, his neices, his aunts and uncles wanted to know where Kenneth McDavid was. His killers and other people that knew his whereabouts could have helped my confused, distraught brother find his way back to his family. Kenneth Edward McDavid deserved a chance to rehabilitate back into healthy living conditions and even have a chance at a career again. Kenneth, had a fabulous voice, just like the Ted Williams that currently just this week became known for his fabulous voice. Kenneth had the same talents and was just as humble as this man. I wanted to know where my brother was while I was caring for my terminally ill husband, now deceased to cancer. We would have helped Kenneth get back on his feet. Even the church where these women found him could have helped him find his family. How much would it have cost? Now we are always sad because we were not told where he was. He had the personality that was taken advantage of because Kenneth truly deep down inside was a kind, loving man. We dearly, dearly miss him. He could have entertained on comdey because of his good sense of humor. We all make mistakes. We all have the oppurtunity for forgiveness. Let's help the homeless. Hard times hit us all. by Dianne M.
